Business Logo Design – Takeover

Business Logo Design - Takeover

The Barter System, the oldest exchange of goods for services and services for goods, is still missed. Research reveals that the introduction of currencies, aka ‘money’, is probably the reason why a poverty line was ever created. However, an identity is always essential in order to alarm or alert the masses of a new or existing product. Identities have been consistent since the Mesopotamian ages! Right from handprints in caves to that of the world’s first logo being around disfigured metal with the Sun Lord of ancient times.

For any business, large scale or small scale – an identity is imperative. Its distinctive characteristics could forever ring in the minds of human beings if created with thorough research and produced with perfect amalgamation!

Choices – Peculiarity

Most decisions made while designing a business logo design are surrounded by minute timescales of delivery. This leads to an impromptu design that could either work – fail – or remain stagnant for the remainder of its life span. A design house or a designer would ideally need at least a week and a half or 12 days minimum for a unique and compelling identity. Most images or visions are an epiphany of other trademarked logos that a conscious mind would preserve in his or her subconscious. Nevertheless, it’s all about creating that ‘exclusive’ image, which would not only correspond to the speciality of an organization but also reveal the nature of the business in a split 3-4 seconds. Therefore, choice matters when selecting a business logo design.

Intuition – Fair play

Given the fact that time would be ticking, a designer would ideally have a limited research approach. After building rapport with the organization, an intuitive idea, vision, or image would be produced within the subconscious already. Thorough research would only rule out the possibility of a ‘copy’, which would bear its own fruits in the future for the organization and the creator himself.

Nevertheless, an example of 10 versions would be the perfect approach to have archived while designing for one organization. Now you may conclude that this would help for revisions – Not precisely! For revisions, there could be an additional 5 (meaning 15 in total). It is imperative that a designer has ten different versions to tackle other trademark logos that could be found in the future after designing for a specific industry – as you may never know if a logo would just pop up in existence way before the organization’s trademark application that you are working for.

Call it a back- up, but this would ideally shield your design from others & therefore set you apart!

Trial & Error – Management

The best bet is to have the design out for trial either in black & white or just 80% complete with a shadow here and a veil there. This would attract the masses. For example, the New Kojima Productions created a logo for their video game. They first revealed ahead. Then a week later, a full-body logo! Then two weeks later, at a grand ceremony for Comic-Con, he revealed a presentational video. Therefore, success truly lies in yielding a new design with only bits and pieces of it in order to entice the target audience, tapping into their curiosity and directly booming a brand even before it’s created.

For a business logo design, just adding a few shadows and veils to the current logo and having it out on a billboard (uneconomical) or a business card (economic), or a website (economic) would begin enticing the human vortexes of the masses who shed gazes upon your business logo identity.

It is from there you begin to understand that the design would not only work but could surge as it’s already communicated with the masses with hints of a completely new idea. There is ideally no loss to this technique as an organization would know whether their new badge is really worthy enough or not in terms of communication.

Colours, Fonts, Depiction – TIME

The field of business is vast would limit the possibilities of a designer using flamboyant colours and flashy font! Also, the inspiration from other fonts wouldn’t be the perfect step ahead. Hence, a professional font with subtle colours would be a good choice, leading to an effective yet communicative business logo design. Most business giants tend to incorporate the national flag, the national flower, or the national animal and thus utilize colours associated with the same to reflect patriotism. This isn’t a bad idea at all. It would only show that you represent yourself as a brand identity in singularity with your country. Even for a startup or an existing organization, the use of Sans Serif or Comic Sans could definitely produce results beyond expectations.
