A business’s brand can be developed by appealing to the emotions of its customers. Emotional Marketing is the use of images, words and colours to stimulate emotions in your audience.

Businesses that have an emotional marketing strategy for communicating with their customers can create long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships that will last years.

Emotional Marketing: The Power of Influence

Potential customers will feel something if you make them feel it. People make decisions based on their emotions, and then they justify them with logic.

These emotions include joy, trust, anticipation, sadness and fear.

Each emotion has its own strengths and stages. Each audience has its own trigger words, which will stimulate specific emotions. These trigger words will then trigger different actions for that audience. To get an emotional response from your target audience, you don’t need to spend millions of dollars on TV ads.

These are just a few ways that you can use emotion marketing to your advantage.

Research Your Audience

You will be able to build trust with your target audience if you do more research into their fears and hopes. Your marketing messages will be adjusted based on what you discover about your audience.

Take care of your existing customers.

Too many business owners focus on acquiring new customers. What about customers you already have. To get a new client costs 6 to 7x more than to keep an existing customer. Do something extra for your customers. Offer a discount or a freebie or some other notable thing to connect with them.

Demonstrate that you are human

It’s not what anyone wants. When appropriate, add a bit of happiness to your communications. You shouldn’t be afraid of using humour in your sales pages, emails, and social media posts. This will show that you are a person and human.

Resilient

If your customer has a problem, respond quickly. Even if they are upset or angry with you, your response to their problem will be what you judge. Your audience can contact you in as many ways as possible. Tell your audience how long it takes for you to respond to them at each method. Follow up with your audience and do the things you promised.

Conversions will increase if you can instil emotion in your audience. Videos are an essential tool for creating emotional marketing messages. Videos allow you to instantly connect with your audience and establish a relationship. Many business owners are concerned about videos. This is often due to not being comfortable creating videos and questioning if they’re worth it. Incorporating videos into your marketing campaigns is much easier than you might think.
